LG has announced a new Gram +view 16MQ70 portable monitor that connects to a source via a USB-C cable. It comes with a carrying case that can be used instead of a stand.
The 16-inch WQXGA IPS display offers a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio. It provides coverage of 99% of the DCI-P3 color space. The refresh rate is 60 Hz, the response speed is 30 ms, which may not be enough for a comfortable game, but is suitable for normal everyday tasks.
The device supports auto display rotation, OSD menu, anti-glare screen coating, blue light reduction mode and brightness adjustment. There are two USB-C connectors for connection. It is important to note that the device was not equipped with speakers: you will have to rely on a computer or connect an external speaker.
The monitor itself weighs 670g, with a stand case adding about 320g more, so the total weight is about 990g. The case has become an unusual but useful addition to the 16-inch device: it makes it easy to carry and allows you to adjust the angle (105-120°). According to the manufacturer, the angle of inclination reaches 170 °.
The LG Gram +view will be released in Japan in mid-April and will roll out to other markets later. The price is already known - $ 349.
