Netflix Reveals Success of 'The Bridgertons'

Netflix rarely shares accurate on-site movie and TV viewing figures, but makes an exception for particularly high-profile premieres. One of these releases was second season pseudo-historical melodrama "The Bridgertons".
It became available on the site on Tuesday, March 29 - and immediately entered the top 10 in many countries. Netflix has given the statistics of viewing English-language TV shows for the week from March 28 to April 3, and the results of the new season are really impressive:
- The Bridgertons Season 2 - 251.7 million hours
- The Bridgertons season 1 - 53 million hours;
- "This is cake?" — 26.5 million hours;
- «Inventing Anna» — 21.9 million hours;
- The Last Kingdom Season 5 - 19.1 million hours;
- "Leader", season 2 - 16.4 million hours;
- Parts of Her Season 1 - 16.2 million hours;
- Leader, season 1 - 13.2 million hours;
- «Vikings: Valhalla", Season 1 - 10 million hours;
- Taboo season 1 - 8.3 million hours;
Interestingly, with the release of the second season, the popularity of the first one also rose - it was watched twice as much as the cooking show “Is It Cake?”, Which is located in third place.
"Bridgerton" extended for the third and fourth seasons even before the release of the second - and the ratings show that the decision was correct.
