Windows 11 will introduce tabs in File Explorer and folders in Start

As part of a small presentation of Windows Powers the Future of Hybrid Work, Microsoft talked about some useful improvements in Windows 11. Choose the main one.

Improvements in File Explorer

• The standard file manager will finally add tabs that allow you to quickly switch between different folders.
• Also, the developers will slightly update the interface of the program and add a start page with folders from "Quick Access" and "Favorites".

• The new context menu will allow you to quickly add a file to the Favorites list or send it immediately to the last contacts, which will reduce the number of steps to send.

Improvements in Start

• In the Start menu, it will be possible to create folders with programs that can be pinned for quick access. This will unload the desktop if you have all the necessary files and documents there.

Video Call Improvements

• For video calls at the system level, background blurring, noise reduction and automatic gaze correction, in which the interlocutor can see your eyes, even if you look down (reading something to example).

• These improvements will be available even for third-party programs, but they will only work on devices with Neural Processing Units (NPUs).

Other improvements

• The Smart App Control option will appear, which will check the security of launched applications.
• The HVCI feature will monitor malware and virus attempts through potentially harmful drivers.

Microsoft does not yet name the timing of the appearance of all these improvements, limiting itself to the definition of "at some point." It might not even be the next update.
