Following him, Apple may release a very unusual MacBook without a physical keyboard.
Noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared new forecasts regarding the release of the first device with a folding screen by Apple. According to him, such a novelty will appear on the market no earlier than 2025, although before that he announced the release already in 2024.
With this forecast, Kuo confirmed the words of another analyst and insider, Ross Young, who already wrote that Apple is in no hurry to enter the foldable gadget market, but is clearly working in this direction.
In his reports last year, Ming-Chi Kuo wrote that Apple is preparing a smartphone similar to the Galaxy Flip, that is, a compact clamshell. Now he reports that the release of a hybrid iPhone and iPad is much more likely - an analogue of the Galaxy Fold.
Apple is developing medium-, large-, and small-scale foldable products and is testing foldable OLED displays around 9 inches, Kuo added.
According to data edition of The Elec, LG will become the main supplier of flexible panels. The company is already working on another hybrid solution for Apple, an OLED screen for tablets and laptops with ultra-thin glass.
One of the options for its use is a laptop without a physical keyboard, where both halves of the case are equipped with touch displays. True, it will take even longer to wait for such a novelty - until 2026 or 2027.
