Hisense has announced a new Hi Reader e-reader that features a compact form factor. The device is equipped with a high screen diagonal of 6.7 inches, which occupies 84% โโof the front panel.
The display is made using E-ink technology and supports 36 levels of brightness for comfortable reading in different lighting conditions, automatic adjustment is supported. The resolution is not specified, the pixel density is 300 ppi.
Responsible for performance processor UNISOC Tiger T610 (8 cores, clocked at 1.8 GHz), supplemented by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. For wireless connection, Wi-Fi 802.11 (supports 2.4 and 5 GHz networks) and Bluetooth 5.0 are used.
The device received an impressive 3,000 mAh battery - given the low power consumption, it should last for a long time, but the manufacturer did not specify the expected autonomy. The USB-C port is responsible for recharging, there is no headphone jack. Despite the size of the battery, the gadget is only 7.5mm thick and weighs 177g. Out of the box, the novelty works on Android 10.
The Hisense Hi Reader will go on sale in China on March 28 for 1,799 yuan (โ$282) in gray color only. The package does not include a power adapter: only a USB-C cable, instructions and a screen film.
