Posture Pal lets you track your posture with AirPods
Miscellaneous / / March 21, 2022
It is free and extremely simple.
Enthusiasts have released an app that tracks how straight the user is holding their back. It works with AirPods 3, AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, or Beats Fit Pro sensors. The developers note that support for other headphones that share motion data with the iPhone is also possible, but not guaranteed.
To get started, just connect headphones to your smartphone, launch the application and allow it access to movement and fitness data. Then click Start Tracking.
During operation, the main screen shows an animation with a giraffe, which repeats the tilt of the user's head. If it is greater than the set value (you can choose 10°, 20°, 30° or your own choice), the headphones will emit a beep, and after a few seconds, the smartphone will begin to vibrate. If desired, both of these functions can be disabled and the application can be used solely for statistics.
You can also remove the giraffe from the main screen: just turn it on in the Super Serious Mode settings. Then the background color will indicate the straightness of the posture.
The application is shareware: no subscription is required to use, but the duration of the tracking session is limited to 10 minutes, and custom color settings will be reset when the application is restarted. A monthly subscription costs 179 rubles and removes time limits and allows you to set the maximum angle of inclination outside the preset values.
