Russian cinemas will freeze ticket prices and start showing films from Korea and India

The largest cinema chains in Russia will maintain pre-crisis prices for movie tickets and cinema bar products. This information to Vedomosti confirmed directors of Cinema Park, Formula Kino, Premier Hall, Karo, Kinomax and Cinema Star chains. In total, their halls occupy 31.5% of the film distribution market.
This decision is reportedly driven by two factors. Firstly, going to the cinema is one of the most popular leisure activities among Russians, and it is important to keep it affordable and relevant, even despite the sharply increased costs for lamps and components for projectors.
Second, after release cancellations the largest Western studios, Russian cinemas now do not have content that would be in demand among the audience. Because of this, for hire decided return old domestic hits, with which Bollywood blockbusters will appear on the screens, South Korean paintings and novelties from Latin America.
