At the Chinese presentation, Redmi showed not only new smartphones And laptops, but also an updated version of the brand's largest TV. Redmi TV MAX 100 received a diagonal of 100″ (previous model was "only" 98-inch) and an all-metal body.
The huge panel has a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels (4K), a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a peak brightness of 700 nits, a viewing angle of 178° and coverage of 94% of the DCI-P3 color space. HDR10+, Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced and AMD FreeSync technologies are supported.
MIUI TV is powered by an unnamed processor with 4 ARM Cortex-A73 cores and ARM Mali-G52 MC1 graphics. The chip is complemented by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. There are HDMI 2.1, AV, Ethernet and S / PDIF connectors, as well as a pair of HDMI 2.0 and USB.
Despite the screen size, the TV has only two speakers of 15 W - but with support for Dolby Atmos, Dolby Audio and DTS-HD. There is also a pair of microphones for voice control (works through the Chinese virtual assistant Xiao AI).
The Redmi TV MAX 100 is priced at 19,999 yuan (≈$3,150) and will go on sale on April 6th.
