VKontakte offers to transfer photos from Instagram

A new official service has appeared on the VKontakte social network - saving content from Instagram, which since March 14 blocked on Russian territory.

To use the new feature, go to this link from a computer, or go to the "Services" tab of the VKontakte mobile application and select Instagram Manager. Enter the name of your page (it must be open), then click "Next" → "Start Upload". Photos will be saved to a private album (access settings can be changed later).

It is also possible to download data from the Instagram archive. This option allows you to pull out not only photos, but also videos and Reels - they will be saved in the "Video" and "Clips" sections, respectively. If you are in Russia and did not request the archive before blocking, you will have to use VPN. After making sure you are connected to the correct server, do the following:

1. Open your Instagram profile.
2. Click on the three stripes icon in the top right corner.
3. Select "Your activity" → "Download information".

4. Specify the mail to which you want to receive the archive (it is not necessary to use the one associated with the profile).

After that, you will have to wait up to 48 hours - due to the huge number of requests, uploading data is slower than usual. When the archive arrives in the mail, download it to your smartphone or computer and upload it to Instagram Manager to transfer VKontakte files.
