Miscellaneous / / March 01, 2022
Some call it the best Batman movie, others compare it to a mournful emo song.
While the new "Batman" by Matt Reeves (which will not show in cinemas in Russia), critics have already seen the film and shared their reviews. Here are the quotes - no spoilers, of course.
1. “The main change from Reeves' approach is seen in Batman/Bruce himself. Pattinson plays him as a sad, almost desperate man, indifferent to his phenomenal wealth and realizing that his ability to do something that will change the course of a society rotten to the core, limited. His acting is really eye catching." The Hollywood Reporter
2. “The new Batman is not as full of bravado, it is more brooding and boring. The title track is like a mournful emo song that never breaks into a roar or a victory chorus, and Pattinson plays the same note." Mashable
3. “The best thing about this Batman is that it belongs to a different genre. Instead of the usual hustle and bustle, we have a good detective, but instead of Sherlock Holmes - an (extremely) tortured billionaire with an inexplicable love for bats, ”- IndieWire
4. “Reeves and the team have created a sinister and dreamy epic. It's a mixture of action-adventure, detective, horror and noir - they even added a little romance to the mix for balance. While watching, I repeatedly found myself thinking that this is possibly the best Batman movie, ”- Slashfilm
5. “Although Falcone, Penguin and Selina appear here, which should add depth and complexity to the story, each of their arcs changes the course of the movie in one way or another because of how inelegantly it's mixed together. together", - The Verge
