Poco X4 Pro 5G and Poco M4 Pro officially unveiled

Poco has officially unveiled two new mid-range smartphones at once: Poco X4 Pro 5G and Poco M4 Pro. Both got NFC and MIUI 13 - True, based on Android 11.

Poco X4 Pro 5G

Of the two novelties presented, this smartphone is slightly larger. It was equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, a frequency of 120 Hz and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Inside is a Snapdragon 695 processor and 6 or 8 GB of RAM, depending on the version. The storage capacity is 128 or 256 GB. You can expand the amount of RAM thanks to the new VirtualRAM feature in MIUI 13: the 6/128 GB modification will receive an additional 2 GB of RAM, and the 8/256 GB version will get as much as 3 GB. Expansion due to micro SD is available at the cost of a second SIM card: the slot is hybrid here.

The main camera received a large (1 / 1.56 ") 108 MP main module, complemented by an 8 MP wide-angle and a 2 MP macro. The front camera is 16 MP. The smartphone has stereo speakers and basic protection against moisture and dust - IP53.

The 5,000 mAh battery supports 67W fast charging, and the corresponding adapter is included in the package. A full charge, according to the manufacturer, is enough for 15 hours of video viewing. If the smartphone sits down, you can recharge it up to 70% in 20 minutes, it will take 41 minutes to fully charge.

The Poco X4 Pro 5G will be available in Black, Yellow and Blue starting March 2nd. The cost of the basic version for 6/128 GB will be 299 euros, the modification for 8/256 GB will cost 349 euros. The manufacturer promises discounts of up to 50 euros for both versions at the start of sales.

Poco M4 Pro

LTE version last year's smartphone received a less impressive processor, but the first in the line offers an AMOLED screen. The latter has a diagonal of 6.43 inches, supports a refresh rate of 90 Hz and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.

The smartphone uses a 12nm Helio G96 processor and offers the same memory options as the X4 Pro 5G: 6/128 and 8/256 GB. A microSD slot and VirtualRAM function are also available. The main camera module received the highest resolution in the M-series: 64 megapixels. Additional modules unchanged: 8 MP wide-angle and 2 MP macro. The front camera has a resolution of 16 megapixels.

The 5000 mAh battery is compatible with 33 W adapters (suitable block included). It provides up to 2 days of battery life, and it takes about an hour to fully recharge.

Like the previous model in the series, the novelty retained stereo speakers and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The fingerprint scanner remained in the side panel despite the switch to AMOLED.

The Poco M4 Pro will be available in Black, Yellow and Blue starting March 2nd. The cost of the basic version for 6/128 GB will be 219 euros, the modification for 8/256 GB will cost 249 euros. There will also be discounts at the start, but a maximum of 40 euros.
