Apple will allow Face ID repair in authorized centers
Miscellaneous / / February 25, 2022
Apple is going to ship TrueDepth Camera components for Face ID facial recognition systems to authorized service centers. This will allow you to repair iPhone XS and newer models claim at MacRumors.
Repairing Face ID will reduce the company's costs and reduce its carbon footprint - the amount of greenhouse gas emissions associated with the production of equipment. And users after the repair will not lose data due to failures in Face ID and will not be able to waste time re-configuring smartphones.
When the service centers will begin to provide such services is still unknown. But Apple promised to soon provide the necessary documentation and training materials for employees.
For 10 years in IT, I tried a lot: I worked as a system administrator and tester, I wrote in a dozen different languages programming, led the computer department of the editorial office of a printed newspaper and led news feeds high-tech portals. I can patch KDE2 for FreeBSD - and tell you in detail about all the nuances of this process. I dream about homemade R2-D2 and space flight.
