Sony added automatic screenshot syncing
Miscellaneous / / February 24, 2022
PlayStation users have not been able to quickly transfer screenshots or screen recordings from the console to another device for a long time. Because of this, I had to use crutches: for example, send a file via a message to a friend, then to download it from a smartphone or computer. But Sony finally took pity on the players and added file synchronization.
Just go to the "Recently created" section on PS5 and confirm automatic synchronization. After that, all screenshots and videos up to 3 minutes in length will automatically appear in the PS App that is connected to the console.
This is not about automatic uploads, but about shared cloud storage: the files will not be available on the smartphone until the user manually uploads them from the gallery in the PS App. The files will be kept for 14 days.
The feature has been actively tested for several weeks now, and should now be available to all users. The update may come in waves: if you haven't synced yet, you'll have to wait a bit.
