OnlySwitch - One utility to control all the features of macOS
Miscellaneous / / February 17, 2022
It will save you a lot of time, and it's free.
The Control Center was only introduced to macOS in 2020, but even in it you can quickly turn on and off only some functions. In order not to wander through the nooks and crannies of system settings and not waste time, it is much more convenient to use the OnlySwitch utility.
Like its counterparts, it adds the ability to control various options to the menu bar. But unlike them, it contains more than 20 switches at once, as well as additional features like a radio and a pomodoro timer.
By clicking on the OnlySwitch icon, a menu opens with the same toggle switches, with which you can turn on the auto-hide of the Dock and the menu bar with one touch, disable the screensaver or sleep, show hidden files or remove icons from the desktop, as well as empty the recycle bin, activate the power saving mode and mute microphone.
The action list contains many exclusive features that are not available in the standard system settings and are activated by terminal commands or by installing third-party utilities. With OnlySwitch you get them for free and in one place.
In addition to the Internet radio and customizable timer mentioned above, additional features include working with quick commands, a toggle switch for connecting to AirPods with information about the charge level of each earbud and case, as well as useful little things like hiding the notch on the screen of the new MacBook Pro or compact icons launchpad.
In the settings, you can set launch options, choose the appearance of the icon in the menu bar, and specify which of the switches will be displayed in the utility window. Shortcuts, radio links, and pomodoro timer intervals are also added here.
The application is completely free and contains no ads. You can install it from the link below.
