James Gunn's 'Peacemaker' renewed for season 2

The series "Peacemaker", which is a spin-off "Suicide Squad: Mission Blitz, was renewed for a second season. About it announced director, James Gunn.

Deadline Edition clarifiedthat Gunn will direct all episodes of the sequel. Whereas in the first season, he only worked on five episodes out of eight.

The lead actor, John Cena, will reprise his role, as will likely many other actors from the original series. There is no word yet on a start date for filming. The schedule will depend on the workload of James Gunn, who is currently working on the third Guardians of the Galaxy.

The first season of The Peacemaker premiered on HBO Max in January. According to the plot, the show continues the story of the hero John Cena after the Suicide Squad. The series has received mostly positive reviews, with a 95% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and 87% on audience ratings.
