Netflix to release BioShock movie

Netflix officially announced about working on a feature-length adaptation of the BioShock video game series. Streaming giant teamed up with publisher Take-Two to develop potential MCU Interactive: The film will be co-produced by Vertigo Entertainment (It, The Witch of Blair").
The director and screenwriter have not yet been announced, but the Hollywood Reporter informsthat the deal has been in the works for over a year.
The action of the first part of BioShock takes place in the underwater city of Rapture, built by an industrial magnate as a refuge for happy and wealthy citizens. But over time, this utopia fell apart due to the discovery of the ADAM serum, which gives super strength and heals any wounds and diseases.
Most of the inhabitants became dependent on her, and the city was filled with Big Daddies - mutants created in laboratories. The protagonist of the game Jack, who survived after a plane crash, fell into the ocean, enters this frightening world.
