It allows you to open any program from your smartphone on macOS and Windows.
Over the past few years, Google has created a lot of opportunities to better integrate smartphones with desktops and laptops. However, since Android 13 this interaction can reach a whole new level, since with the first build of the OS, it became possible to fully stream Android applications to a PC.
Function discovered developers from the 9to5Google portal. According to them, it is implemented in the form of two system applications designed to connect Pixel smartphones to other devices.
The connection was supposed to work only with Chrome OS, however, the connection was also established with other operating systems - with macOS and Windows. In both cases, a virtual desktop is created on the computer, where you can interact with various applications of the connected smartphone.
In this mode, it is quite comfortable to correspond in messengers or, for example, write on Twitter. In the lower left corner there is a menu button, which, when pressed, opens a complete list of applications installed on the phone.
The right side of the home screen offers a stream of current phone notifications. By pressing, you can open the corresponding program.
Essentially, the entire smartphone is made available through streaming data between devices. At the same time, you can run any application on your computer without interrupting the operation of any services from your phone - they can operate in parallel.
Streaming is already working quite stably and quickly, without requiring a powerful PC filling. So far, this connection is only available on Pixel with Android 13 Developer Preview, but in the future it may appear on other devices. Probably, Google will officially introduce this innovation as part of a full-fledged announcement of the system.
