Amazon to produce 'Blade Runner 2099' TV series
Miscellaneous / / February 12, 2022
Amazon trains a large-scale project in the Blade Runner universe. It will be a logical continuation of the original 1982 film, filmed Ridley Scott, and Blade Runner 2049 by Denis Villeneuve ("Dune»).
Ridley Scott for the first time told about plans to film the series in November 2021. Blade Runner 2099 was supposed to have ten episodes, and the script for the first episode had already been written.
Amazon has yet to reveal plot details. But it is known that Silka Louise, who worked on the Shining Girls series for Apple TV +, will become the showrunner and screenwriter of the project.
Blade Runner was based on the novel Philip Dick "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?". In addition to feature films, the franchise has been used as an animated series, Blade Runner: Black Lotus.
