What to do before deleting a TikTok account

Open the Profile tab and then go through all your videos and erase them. To do this, click on the three dots and select "Delete".

Here, in the profile, go to the "Subscriptions" and "Subscribers" items and cancel everything by clicking on the buttons next to the usernames.

On the Inbox tab, tap on the airplane icon. Then go through the chats that contain important information and delete all or individual messages in them.

In the "Profile" section, tap "Edit Profile" and delete the photo, replacing it with any picture or a blank background. Also change the name or login to something abstract.

Go to Settings & Privacy → Account Management → Phone Number and select Unlink Phone.

In the "Settings and Privacy" section, go to the "Privacy" item and turn on the "Private account" toggle switch.

How to delete a TikTok account

Go to Profile tab → Menu → Settings & Privacy → Account Management → Delete Account.

Optionally, specify the reason for leaving the social network or click "Skip". Click "Request Download" if you want to keep your account information, or confirm the deletion and tap "Continue".

Select an export format and click Request Data. Later they will appear in this section, from where they can be downloaded.

If the data has already been downloaded or you do not need it, click "Continue" and then enter your password and tap "Delete account".
