This will greatly facilitate entry and movement within the European Union.
Residents of Russia vaccinated with non-EU certified Russian or Chinese vaccines, will be able to receive a European covid certificate after one booster dose of the vaccine approved in Europe. About this with reference to the words of the representative of the European Commission writes TASS.
The certificate always shows the last dose taken. Thus, people vaccinated with Russian or Chinese vaccines and a booster dose of any of the vaccines recognized in the European Union can use the European Covid-certificate, which facilitates entry into the EU.
Christian Wiegand
representative of the European Commission
Wiegand added that the European Commission has extended the COVID-certificate system in the EU for a year, until June 30, 2023. Also, the European Parliament and the Council of the EU are planning to make changes so that certificates can be issued to persons participating in clinical trials of vaccines, as well as on the basis of “high-quality laboratory tests for antibodies".
On February 1, the European Commission reduced the validity of COVID certificates from one year to nine months after receiving the second dose of the vaccine.
Now digital certificates can contain data on vaccination, on the disease, after which a person can move freely within the EU for 180 days, and a negative PCR test giving 72 hours for trips.
