It may be created by former Xbox developers.
Apple poached several engineers from Microsoft who wanted to try their hand at building their own gaming console. Such an insider shared journalist Jez Corden of Windows Central on The Xbox Two podcast.
In May 2021, insiders reportedthat Apple is working on a game console based on the A12 Bionic chipset. It could provide high performance and support for ray tracing. Then it was about the analogue of the Nintendo Switch - a compact gadget the size of a smartphone. Information in October confirmed, but renders or photos of a working prototype have not yet appeared on the network.
A new insider fuels expectations. However, Corden recalled that Apple has repeatedly canceled the development of large projects even before they see the light of day.
But it is worth recognizing that in recent years the company has been striving to increase its influence in the gaming market - for example, using the Apple Arcade service. You can run games in it not only on smartphones, tablets and computers, but also on the Apple TV set-top box.
