Better Menubar is a free app that puts all your Mac system information at your fingertips

See how resources are being used and clean up memory overflows right from the menu bar.
macOS is pretty stingy when it comes to displaying information about CPU usage, memory, and network activity. Out of the box, you can view all this only in the “System Monitoring” - it’s inconvenient. Advanced utilities like iStat Menus show the necessary data in the menu bar, but they do not have the most humane price tag. If you don't want to spend money on viewing system information, try Better Menubar.
The small app doesn't even have its own window and runs entirely from menu bar. By default, the utility icon is visible there, by clicking on which a list is opened where the most important information is collected.
Among the displayed parameters are processor load, battery charge, indicating the exact capacity and number of recharge cycles, as well as network activity, a list of connected Bluetooth devices and the amount of occupied operative memory. The latter, by the way, can be cleared by clicking the Clean button here.
In the settings, there is an option to enable a summary view of all this information in the menu bar. Processor and memory usage is shown as dynamic color indicators, and the remaining charge and connection speed are shown as numbers.
Also in the settings you can activate Better Menubar when you turn on the computer and automatically clear the memory. In the latter case, you can even set a limit value in megabytes.
The utility is completely free, does not contain ads and in-app purchases. Requires macOS 10.10 or newer version operating system.
