Miscellaneous / / January 19, 2022
They fit well, sound great and are a tactile pleasure.
Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro TWS headphones are positioned as a product for discerning music lovers. There is also noise reduction, and support for the LDAC codec, which allows you to transmit high-resolution audio. And also a large set of ear pads and nozzles with a whole instruction on how to use them. All this looks tempting. Let's check how it works.

Appearance and equipment
The Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro headphones come in a nice square box. Inside - the headphones themselves with a case, a charging cable and a whole set of accessories for additional fixation.
The case is thin and not the most common: the lid in it does not lean up, but shifts. On its front side there is a charging indicator, on the back there is a button to initiate pairing and a USB Type-C connector.
When you open the case, the two LEDs inside start flashing, beautifully illuminating the headphones.
To make the fit in the ears more comfortable, the manufacturer offers not only ear cushions in several sizes, but also special soft “wings”. They rest against the upper cartilage, fixing the headphones even more securely.
All this “fasteners” are invisible from the outside, but you still can’t call the Liberty 3 Pro compact.
Connection and communication
Headphones can be paired via Bluetooth without any problems, but for more fine-tuning, you will need to download the proprietary Soundcore application and register in it.

To establish a connection with a smartphone, you need to open the case, hold down the button on the back for 3 seconds, find the headphones in the Bluetooth menu and activate the connection. Up to two devices can be connected at the same time.
Control
In Liberty 3 Pro, it is touch sensitive. One or two presses and a hold are used. With their help, you can change the volume, flip through tracks, turn on modes noise reduction or transparency and so on. Management is fully customizable through the application.
The sensor works well and is located well. There were no false clicks during testing.
Sound
The Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro is powered by second-generation ACAA coaxial drivers, Knowles reinforcement and a 10.6mm dynamic driver with a biofiber diaphragm. All this should provide detailed audio with rich lows and a wide stage.
And the headphones sound really great. The bass is strong, the frequency detail is good, and the sound is loud - it hurts the ears on the maximum twisted slider.
By default, when connecting headphones to a smartphone, the AAC Bluetooth codec is used. LDAC, which gives a more detailed and high-quality sound, is activated through the application.
However, this can only be done if you are using an Android smartphone. Apple supports its own lossless audio compression technology, the Apple Lossless Audio Codec (ALAC), in its devices.
There are four main modes in the Soundcore app: HearID Sound, 3D Surround Sound, a set of presets (acoustic, boosted bass, electronics, and so on) and a manual equalizer with eight sliders.
The preset modes don't look too good. For example, HearIDLiberty 3 Pro/Soundcore Sound, which "analyzes your hearing to create a personalized profile," is actually slurred and flat. And 3D Surround Sound makes it feel like a small speaker has been placed in a pot at the far end of the room.
Active noise cancellation (ANC) in the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro is very well implemented. It can be adaptive or manually adjusted in weak, moderate and strong modes.
Noise reduction parameters are adjusted using the auditory canal test: a set of buzzers of different tones and volumes is played separately for each ear. The procedure will take 5-7 minutes.
In addition, there is a transparency mode, in which, on the contrary, the surrounding sounds are amplified.
Both modes in the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro are not for show, but their possibilities are not unlimited. It's funny that if you brush your teeth in noise reduction mode electric brush, then its sound will be amplified and beat the music.
autonomy
Without ANC activation, the Liberty 3 Pro headphones work for about 8 hours, when noise reduction is turned on, they are discharged by about 20% per hour.
From the case, they can be recharged three more times, so the total battery life will be approximately 32 hours. After 15 minutes in the case, the Liberty 3 Pro will last about 3 hours. It will take half an hour to replenish the power level of the headphones to 100%.
In addition to wired charging with USB Type-C, there is support for the standard qi. We did not notice much difference between the speed of conventional charging and wireless charging: in both cases, it takes about an hour.
Results
Anyone who chooses TWS headphones is usually concerned with two main points: whether the sound will be of high quality and whether the headphones fit well in the ears.
The Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro answers both of these questions in the affirmative. They sound good out of the box and even better if you spend a little time tweaking the EQ. Due to the variety of ear cushions, they are easily customized for any ear and look great.
If you are a picky music lover and are willing to pay about 15 thousand for wireless headphones for your smartphone, this model is definitely worth a closer look.
BuyThe author thanks Soundcore for the device provided for testing. The company had no opportunity to influence its result.
