The show can receive awards in three categories at once.
Screen Actors Guild of the USA announced SAG Awards 2022 nominees. Among them was the South Korean series "Squid game». This is the first time that a non-English-language project will compete for victory.
The series was awarded three categories: Best Ensemble Cast, Best Actress (Jung Ho Young, who played Kang Se Byuk, No. 067) and Best Actor (Lee Jong Jae for Sung Ki Hoon, No. 456) in a Drama show.
In the nomination of acting ensembles "The game of squid" will compete with "The Handmaid's Story», «morning show”, “Heirs” and “Yellowstone”.

- Best Cast in a Movie:Don't look up”, “CODA: Child of Deaf Parents”, “Belfast”, “House of Gucci”, “King Richard”.
- Best Actress in a Motion Picture: Jennifer Hudson (The Respect), Nicole Kidman (Being Ricardo), Jessica Chastain (The Eyes of Tammy Faye), Olivia Colman (The Strange Daughter), Lady Gaga (The House of Gucci) .
- Best Actor in a Motion Picture: Javier Bardem ("Being Ricardo"), Benedict Cumberbatch ("dog power”), Andrew Garfield (“Tick-Tock, Boom!”), Will Smith (“King Richard”), Denzel Washington (“The Tragedy of Macbeth”).
- Best Stunt Ensemble: "Black Widow», «Dune», «Matrix: Resurrection», «No time to die», «Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings».
The award ceremony will take place on February 27.
Previously, South Korean actor Oh Yeon-soo, who played 76-year-old Oh Il Nam in The Squid Game, got Best Supporting Actor at the 2022 Golden Globes.
