New iPhone 14 models will receive a 48 megapixel camera

In several recent reports, renowned TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that Apple is planning a major iPhone camera update over the next two years. About it writes Macrumors.
Already in 2022, the potential iPhone 14 Pro should receive a 48 megapixel main sensor with the ability to record video in 8K format (versus 4K available now). According to an insider, such recordings can be played in a mixed reality (AR / VR) headset, which, as expected, will also be released late next year.
The increase in optical zoom should be expected only in 2023. According to Kuo, at least one iPhone 15 model should receive a periscopic lens that will allow to realize multiple approximation without a serious increase in the size of the PV module and the thickness of the case smartphone. Now such optics are used, for example, in the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro / Ultra.
In conclusion, the analyst added that these iPhone camera upgrades will significantly increase not only market share, but revenue of the Taiwanese manufacturer Largan Precision, which supplies lenses for cameras Apple.
