How Lifehacker decorated the office for the New Year

Galina Koretskaya
Head of Key Accounts Department, Lifehacker.
Lifehacker has two offices: in Ulyanovsk and in Moscow. We moved to a new office on Pokrovka in 2021, this is our first New Year, which we celebrate here. Our room is very comfortable. For example, you can see the sky through the skylights. We try to create coziness all year round: we put fresh flowers on the shelves, and the walls were decorated with bright posters. Garlands also always hang - we love lights. On gray days and in the evenings, we turn them on to make it more pleasant to work.
We used to decorate the office with the whole team, but 2020 has made its own adjustments. Now we have a hybrid work format. Most of the colleagues work remotely. They come to the office only when we have common holidays, projects and meetings. In addition, December is a hot season and the team has a huge load. Therefore, the five of us dressed up the Moscow office. We started with the phrase "Alice, play Christmas songs", and away we go. While decorating the tree, they threw photos to colleagues in the Moscow chat so that they could feel the comfort and New Year's atmosphere. Thanks to our designers Alena and Olya, who evaluated everything with their creative eyes and helped to capture important moments.
We captured joyful moments with the help of the new OPPO Reno6 - a smartphone that surprises with its photo and video capabilities. The 64 megapixel main camera provides a bright and vibrant picture, correct color rendition and good shading. And the wide-angle camera allows you to capture as many objects in the frame as possible - this is convenient, for example, if you are shooting architecture or photographing an interior interior. The new smartphone has a stylish and modern design, a capacious 4 310 mAh battery and a high-quality screen, which supports a refresh rate of 90 Hz - this is enough to get a smooth picture in games and applications. An internal storage of 128 GB is intended for storing files.

Ekaterina Mironycheva
Sales Director of Lifehacker.
We have an artificial Christmas tree. She has been with us for three years - since the first Lifehacker office appeared in Moscow. We decorate it not with balls of the same color and size, but with different toys. We bought some from year to year, and some were given to us by our clients. There are bells, snowflakes, icicles, toy deer, gifts hanging on the branches of our tree - in general, what is not there. Coming year - Black Water Tiger. We read that it is better to decorate the tree with blue balls, and we just had them. We made a mix of different toys.
We may have an artificial tree, but we have dressed up fresh flowers! We did not forget to decorate the portrait of our director - Alexei Ponomar. We got the portrait three years ago in our first Moscow office. We joke that Alexei is always looking after us. Next to the portrait were hung orange and gold balloons, which will delight the eye in December, while the window is gray. We also placed candles around the office - they will also add brightness to dark days. We plan to add snowflakes to the New Year's decor and add more lights.
Under the tree, we will be putting gifts from Secret Santa. We are making two Secret Santas: in one, the Moscow office participates, and in the second, the entire Lifehacker. Our colleagues live in different cities and countries - from Chelyabinsk to Milan. Secret Santa is a cool tradition and a cute way to wish each other a happy holiday! Before the New Year, we plan to meet the whole team, sing Jingle Bells together and exchange gifts.
New OPPO helped us to photograph the New Year's interior Reno6equipped with a 64-megapixel main camera. It has sensors for creating depth of field (useful for portraits) and macro photography - this allows you to capture every detail in the photo, for example, a separate Christmas tree toy. The front lens also did not disappoint: it can take frames with a resolution of up to 44 megapixels. And for those who like to shoot video at night, there is an Ultra Night function. New OPPO Reno6 has 8 GB of RAM (and it can be increased by another 5 GB), supports fast charging at 50 watts. The smartphone runs on the Android operating system with the proprietary ColorOS shell with artificial intelligence, which, thanks to its intuitive interface, is easy to set up even for a beginner. OPPO Reno6 is available in two colors: black and sky blue.
