It turns out that you can live without a stomach and most of the brain.
One day a patient came to a clinic in Marseilles with a complaint of pain in his leg. Just in case, he was sent for an MRI. There were no difficulties with the treatment of the leg, but the tomography showed that the patient did not have 90% of the brain - hydrocephalus, or dropsy of the brain, almost completely destroyed the gray matter. The skull was filled with cerebrospinal fluid, which, however, did not prevent the remaining parts of the brain from taking over the functions of the lost parts. The patient had no idea what was going on in his head!
