How to disable Quick Notes in macOS Monterey
Miscellaneous / / November 30, 2021
One of the innovations in macOS Monterey is the Quick Short Notes feature, which is activated when you hover the cursor over the lower-right corner of the desktop.
At first it appears as a small white corner, but moving the cursor closer to the corner reveals a square block.
When you click on it, a window for creating a new note opens - to quickly write something down without opening the "Notes" application.
This can be useful in theory, but those who keep stumbling upon it by mistake will probably want to turn it off. Fortunately, this is very easy to do.
How to turn off Quick Short Notes
Open System Preferences and go to the Mission Control section.
Here select Hot Corners.
Click on "Short note".
In the dropdown list, scroll down to the "-" option and click on it.
Done: this function will no longer bother you. If desired, here you can also assign new actions for each of the four corners of the screen.
