2021 Best Wildlife Photos: Nature InFocus Winners Announced

The most beautiful pictures of animals in their natural habitat.
The Nature InFocus competition is one of the largest wildlife photography festivals in Asia. However, anyone can take part in the event - the geography of the exhibition is constantly expanding. Due to the pandemic, the awards ceremony has been held for the second year in online mode.
The program featured photographs in five categories:
- Portraits of animals
- Wildlife and animals in their natural habitat
- Creative nature photos
- Environmental issues
- Animal behavior
Priyanka Rahut Mitra won in the Animal Behavior category. In her photo, a leopard managed to catch an Indian giant squirrel.

The winner of the silver in this category was Rajat Subhra Pramanik, who was able to capture a tiger driving a crocodile from its territory. The picture was taken in the Rajasthan State National Park.

The jury paid special attention to the photo of Kushal Gutedarom, which he took in Kenya. The photographer managed to capture a lioness hunting a warthog.

In the nomination "Wildlife and animals in their natural environment" the winner was the Indian Lakshita Karunarat, who discovered a resting colony of Monarch butterflies in the Mexican mountains.

The second place went to Diya Dvaraknat, who accidentally met sloth bears in the forests of southern India, better known as "sloth bear".

Bronze was awarded to Shivang Mehta with the expressive look of an Indian leopard.
