The developers of the NordPass manager have once again summed up the results of the year with a rating of the least secure passwords. To do this, we analyzed more than 4 TB of data from the leaked databases to identify the most frequently used passwords and calculate how long it will take to crack them. The following combinations were found to be the most vulnerable among users from Russia:
- 123456
- qwerty
- 123456789
- 12345
- password
- qwerty123
- 1q2w3e
- 12345678
- 1234567890
- 1q2w3e4r5t
- qwertyuiop
- asdasd
- qwe123
- 987654321
- 654321
- 555555
- 1q2w3e4r
- zxcvbnm
- 123qwe
- qazwsx
- 1qaz2wsx
- 1234qwer
- zxcvbn
- asdfgh
- qazwsxedc
Unsurprisingly, most combinations take less than a second to crack. But there are a couple of exceptions: for selection asdasd it will take about 17 minutes, zxcvbn - 2 minutes. Combinations qazwsxedc and 1234qwer require only 7 seconds to crack, and 987654321 - and at all 2 seconds.
