The film is based on the lyrical memoirs of Karina Dobrotvorskaya “Has anyone seen my girl? 100 letters to Seryozha ”, but the names of the participants in the events were changed, just in case. The result was ambiguous: those who knew the characters personally, the picture made very angry with its interpretation of their relationship. Critics saw in the film an insult to the memory of an outstanding colleague. But at the same time, glossy melodramatism and a beautiful love story fell in love with many viewers.

Criminal the drama "Bull", which received the main prize of "Kinotavr", is similar at the same time to all the cult films of the 90s: "Boomer", "Brigade" and "Brother". In it, Yuri played a young criminal vaguely reminiscent of Danila Bagrov.
Moreover, on the set, the actor tried to emphasize this similarity and deliberately imitated the intonation of Sergei Bodrov, Jr. For this, before the takes, Borisov wheezed and strained his throat in every possible way to speak in a low voice.
