Famous directors are increasingly leaving for online platforms or streaming services and prefer to shoot TV series, rather than classic full-length films, albeit long ones. At the same time, the art of brevity in cinema today seems to remain completely unclaimed.
In this episode, the presenters of the "Watchman" Mikhail Volnykh and Alexei Khromov figure out how to embody on the screen in 20 minutes, or even less a full-fledged work, they discuss short film festivals in Russia and abroad and once again try to decipher work David Lynch - this time, small animated and fictional films from the early work of the director.
