Netflix brings games to Android
Miscellaneous / / November 03, 2021
They are free for subscribers, but the choice is still limited.
Netflix has officially announced the launch of a section with games in the Android app. To access them, it is enough to have a subscription to the service, while the games themselves do not offer any in-app purchases. So far, only 5 games are available:
- Stranger Things: 1984
- Stranger Things 3: The Game
- Shooting Hoops
- Card Blast
- Teeter (Up)
The game language automatically adjusts to the one selected in your profile (if unavailable, English is set by default). Some games require an internet connection, while others are suitable for offline play. Also, the same restrictions apply here as when watching movies and TV shows: if too many people are playing at the same time, you will be asked to sign out of your account on another device.
At the time of publication in the Netflix application, Lifehacker did not find the corresponding section, but the games can be downloaded independently through Google Play: they are free and available only to subscribers Netflix, and at startup you can select the desired profile (the Netflix account data will be automatically pulled up, you will not have to re-enter it if you are already logged in mostly annex).
Netflix games will later become available on iOS, but the exact dates have not yet been announced. Netflix also promises to expand its game library in the future.
