Lean sautéed cabbage without oil is perfect for lunch or dinner, or add some smoked paprika to make it even tastier.
Chop the cabbage. Cut the onion into small pieces. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
Heat a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the onion for a few minutes, stir constantly. Add carrots and continue cooking until tender.
Put the cabbage in the same pan, pour 250 ml of water. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir and cook for another 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir the tomato paste with water and pour into the cabbage, salt and pepper, sprinkle with paprika and other spices. Leave on the fire for about 15-20 minutes.
Remove the cooked cabbage from heat and leave covered for 10 minutes.
