Owners of Sony and TCL TVs will be the first to download the update.
Google announced new shell features for Google TV smart TVs. One of them was the support of multiple accounts, which will allow two or three users to create a personalized space with their Google accounts on one TV.
Each user will have access to personalized recommendations, their favorite content lists, and individual Google Assistant responses. At the same time, all already installed Google TV applications will be synchronized between profiles so that a new user does not have to start from scratch.
Also, the latest version of Google TV makes Ambient Mode, which is activated when the user is idle, more useful. After updating the system, he will be able to display personalized information, pictures from "Google Photos" and cards with recommendations, including scores of sports matches, news, weather and more.
Support for multiple accounts and handy cards in Ambient Mode is coming first to Chromecast from Google TV and TVs from Sony and TCL. True, if the profiles are available all over the world, then the cards are still only in the USA.
