This simple kale and fish yeast pie can be made with a variety of canned fish - the result will please you anyway.
Heat milk slightly and stir with yeast. Add a tablespoon of sugar and 3 tablespoons of flour, stir again. Leave warm for 10-15 minutes.
Beat one egg into the mixture, add sugar and stir again. Add melted butter and salt.
Pour flour in parts and knead a soft elastic dough that does not stick to your hands.
Cover the bowl of dough with a towel or cloth. Leave it warm for 40-60 minutes for it to come up and expand.
Chop the onion and fry in vegetable oil over medium heat for 4-5 minutes. Add shredded cabbage, season with salt and pepper and cook for about 10 minutes.
Drain the canned food and mash the fish with a fork. Add to cabbage, fry for 1-2 minutes, remove from heat and cool.
Divide the dough into two so that one is slightly larger than the other.
Roll out a large half of the dough into a thin layer and place in a baking dish, forming the sides.
Place the filling on the dough in an even layer. Roll out the second piece of dough and place it on top.
Use a knife to cut off the excess dough and pinch the edges so that all the filling is inside.
Beat the egg with a fork or whisk and brush over the cake. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
Bake the pie for about 40–45 minutes at 180 ° C.
If the cake starts to brown too quickly, cover it with foil.
