Apple renews Foundation for a second season

The first season of the series "Base"Based on the novels of Isaac Asimov, it is just approaching its equator, but Apple has already announced its extension for a second season. About it writes Deadline.

Representatives of the streaming service Apple TV + were satisfied with the work of the creators of the show and are confident in its continued success.

Showrunner of the series David Goyer noted that in the second season viewers will be able to see more Asimov's incredible worlds and colorful characters including Hober Mallow, General Bel Rios and all Outer Suns.

Asimov's daughter, Robin, who acts as a producer, was delighted with the work done by Goyer and Skydance. According to her, the film adaptation exceeded all expectations.

Let's remind that the action of "Foundation" takes place in the Galactic Empire - a superstate that encompasses the entire Milky Way. The famous mathematician Gary Seldon predicts the inevitable fall of civilization with the help of the science of "psychohistory" he developed. To save humanity and revive again, he creates the Foundation organization. However, her work is hindered by the rule of the entire Empire, which distrusts the dubious doctrine.

So far, only four episodes of "Foundations" have been released. There will be ten episodes in the first season. The fifth comes out on October 15th.
