Stuffed turnip with meat

Stuffed turnip is an unusual but delicious hot meal for a festive dinner. Bake the vegetable with juicy meat filling and cheese.

Ingredients
- White bread 2 slices
- Milk 100 ml
- Onion 1 piece
- Vegetable oil 3 tbsp. spoons
- Minced pork 350 g
- Egg 1 piece
- Butter 30 g
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Turnip 3-4 pieces
- Hard cheese 70 g
Cooking method
Cut off the crusts from the bread, soak the crumb in milk for 15 minutes and chop.
Peel the onion, chop finely, fry in vegetable oil until soft for 3-4 minutes and cool.
Combine minced meat with bread, onion, egg and softened butter, add salt and pepper to taste, mix thoroughly.
Peel the turnip, cut off the tails and the top. Use a knife to cut the core out of the root vegetables, leaving walls 8-10 mm thick.
Preheat oven to 200 ° C. Pour 200-300 ml of water into a deep baking dish. Fill the turnips with prepared minced meat.
Cover the turnips with the cut tops and place in a baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven until soft for 60–80 minutes.
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. 10 minutes before cooking, remove the caps from the turnip, sprinkle with cheese and return to the oven.
