On September 24, the science fiction series Foundation, based on the novels of Isaac Asimov, became available on Apple TV +. The first three episodes are available for viewing - already in dubbing. The following episodes will air on Fridays.
The Foundation is set in the Galactic Empire, a superstate that spans the entire Milky Way. Mathematician Gary Seldon predicts the inevitable fall of civilization with the help of the science of "psychohistory" he developed. To save humanity and revive again, he creates the Foundation organization.
Initially, Azimov's Foundation cycle included three books, but later four more were written, two of which reveal the background of events. In 1966, the trilogy won the Hugo Special Prize for Best Fantasy Series of All Time.
The Apple TV series was directed by Alex Graves (Game of Thrones), Roxanne Dawson (This Is Us) and Jennifer Fung (Boys, Blast From Space, Space). The role of mathematician Seldon was played by Jared Harris (Sherlock Holmes: A Play of Shadows, Chernobyl).
