IPhone memory full bug in iOS 15
Miscellaneous / / September 22, 2021
It is not dangerous, but there is no solution yet.
September 20 Apple released iOS 15 update. Although there are no serious and large-scale problems with this version yet, some users note a small bug in the smartphone settings. When checking the amount of available memory, the status "iPhone memory full" is displayed in some cases - even if there are actually hundreds of GB of free space.
Fortunately, this is not about annoying notifications, as is the case when memory is really full. The warning is displayed only in the settings: on the main screen under the profile card and in the "General" → "iPhone storage" section.
So far, Apple has not officially recognized this bug, but it may be fixed in one of the next updates. Appleinsider edition notesthat attempts to delete data in order to remove warnings do not lead to success - but if you still want to try, do not forget to make a backup before doing so, so as not to lose valuable files forever.
Also on Twitter and on the forums, you can find many examples of other inconsistencies when calculating available memory: some users even show “0 KB Used”, although the graph and report are broken down by application say otherwise.
"Something doesn't add up here."
“Has anyone else encountered a bug in iOS 15, in which your settings say“ iPhone memory full ”, although in fact there is a lot of free space? My phone has more than 20 GB available, but I still can't clear this message. "
Have you encountered this problem, or did the update go without bugs?
