Ingredients
- Small pears 3 kg
- Water 1 glass
- Sugar 1 kg
- Lemon 1 piece
Cooking method
Use a fork to prick each pear several times on different sides. This is necessary so that the fruit is thoroughly saturated with syrup. Place in a wide container; a basin is perfect for this.
Pour water into a saucepan and add sugar. Put on fire and, stirring occasionally, bring to a boil. The sand should dissolve.
Pour the boiling syrup over the pears. Leave it on for 8-10 hours or overnight.
Drain the syrup, bring to a boil again, pour over the fruit and leave for the same time. Do it all one more time.
Place the bowl of pears and syrup on the fire and boil. Add thin slices of lemon and cook for 30-40 minutes.
