Elon Musk announced the anthropomorphic Tesla Bot

Elon Musk as part of the Day of Artificial Intelligence told about the developed anthropomorphic robot Tesla Bot. It is a "general purpose" device designed for unsafe, repetitive, or just boring tasks.

At the presentation, a prototype of a robot was demonstrated, the height of which was 172 centimeters and a weight of 57 kg. It will recognize objects and the surrounding space using a set of sensors that have already proven themselves in Tesla electric vehicles.

The "brain" of the robot will be an artificial intelligence system, and all information about its work will be displayed on a screen placed instead of a face.

Tesla Bot's body will be built from lightweight and durable materials, and it will be driven by 40 actuators. They will allow him to move freely at speeds up to 8 km / h and carry objects weighing up to 20 kg.

As part of the presentation, the robot was shown alive, but so far it did not even move. Musk said nothing about the timing of the commercial implementation. At the moment, the company continues to gather a team of developers, engineers and mechanics to work on the Tesla Bot.
