In his blog on Layfhakere we continue to acquaint you with the most entertaining of the new publications electronic editions minizhurnala from gadgets.masterkit.ru. Today - this is an unusual lamp from scrap materials, with a slight touch of nostalgia.
Old black and white film - it's part of the family history. But for a long time digitized photos, film lying around, and throw them away not raise his hand - the memory still! Do not despair! This step by step guide will help transform the already unnecessary thing in the original lamp, which, moreover, will waft pleasant memories!
Materials do not need a lot
IKEA name of someone is contemptuous smile, and someone cry of admiration. In any case, today is a very large number of people can not do without the goods from IKEA. They are cheap? Yes! Cheaply made? Probably! Of course, these things do not make family values, but with them you can do anything, "locked up" (the IKEA in translation - "to cut") for themselves and not worry about the price of such experiments.
Grönö - an inexpensive lamp ($ 6.99!) From IKEA. Its cover is made of frosted glass, and at first glance it seems plastic. If anything, it's "blank canvas", from which we will make our lamp using the old black and white film.
We need:
• Grönö lamp from IKEA;
• captured black and white film or other films of similar size (e.g., transparencies);
• Mod Podge glue to decoupage;
• tip for shaving;
• scissors;
• Rubber rings (stationery, or hair).
We measure the length of the ceiling and apply the adhesive
Step 1. We used a black-and-white negatives, left over from the days when there was no color photography, but You can take and color negatives or positives, and any other transparent films (e.g., X-ray).
Attach a photographic film to the lower dome to measure out the desired length.
Film can be placed both vertically and horizontally - for every taste.
The obvious observation: do not connect the base with bubble and do not turn on the lamp, while the ceiling is completely ready and the glue is dry!
step 2. Spread adhesive layer (we used a glossy look glue as well as negatives gloss) on one face ceiling.
Glue strips of film
step 3. Gently hold the first strip of negatives on one edge of the verge of the ceiling (to be specific - on the right). Second strip press on the left edge of the same face. The third band will go in the middle and slightly overlap the first two.
Apply several layers of glue over the negatives
step 4. When all three strips are glued, gently swipe the negatives to ensure a good fit them to the lower dome.
step 5. After all four sides the ceiling will be covered with the negatives, put the top few layers of glue Mod Podge. In principle, a glue to hold the negatives on the ceiling to dry completely should be enough, but if you You find that the negatives are peeled off, add more Mod Podge, and fix the film on the ceiling ring rubber bands.
step 6. Drying of the ceiling and the lamp assembly. After drying glue to connect base with bubble and turn on the lamp.
Turn, admire and remember ...
