Google launches new Android backup system

Google starts up "Backup by Google One" is an updated backup service for Android. It combines the usual system backups and copying media files from the Google One cloud service application.
Now, by default, Android backups save information from applications, SMS messages, call history, contacts, passwords, device settings, information about languages, time and date, as well as settings for input methods and data for connecting to Wi-Fi.
Backup by Google One is considered more granular, extensive, and unified. To all of the above, it will add photos, videos and MMS messages with control and monitoring right in the Android settings.
Despite the Google One branding, the backup system will be available for all Google accounts without installing an additional application. However, users still only have 15GB of storage available for free download. You will have to pay for additional space.
The new backup service will be available to all owners of devices with Android 8.0 and newer in the coming weeks.
