Former WhatsApp employees launch a new social network HalloApp
Miscellaneous / / August 01, 2021
No ads, with encrypted chats and linking to a phone number.
The HalloApp application has become available on Google Play and the App Store - this is a new social network for intimate communication with family, friends and colleagues. You can register or add someone there only through a phone number.
HalloApp is a project of Neeraj Arora and Michael Donoghue, who worked on WhatsApp even before the Facebook takeover. They position their new brainchild as a simple and safe place where you can communicate and share the most important things only with the most important people.
HalloApp is based on the fundamental human right to privacy - all chats are encrypted, no personal information of users is stored in the clear and is not used. In addition, there will be no brands or ads on the social network.
Now everything is very austere in the application, but it is very clear - there are tabs with a feed of messages from friends, group chats, personal correspondence and settings. Subscription features may appear later, but for now it's free. You can already download HalloApp in Russia.
