It says that the Sputnik Light vaccine will be enough to protect the health of those who have recovered from covid.
Study results published in the international journal Cell Reports MedicineSputnik V Vaccine Elicits Seroconversion and Neutralizing Capacity to SARS CoV-2 after a Single Dose "Sputnik V" by Argentine scientists. They confirmed that even one component of the Russian vaccine is effective in 94% of cases. About it writes Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
The study involved 288 healthcare workers. Some of them have already been ill with covid, but many have not yet encountered the disease. The level of antibodies in all was measured both after the first component of the vaccine and after the second.
Tests have confirmed the production of a large number of IGG and virus neutralizing antibodies. Moreover, the strongest immune response was observed after the administration of one dose of the Sputnik V vaccine. In the case of people who had already been ill, there was no obvious benefit of a second dose of the vaccine. For this reason, the authors of the study concluded that immunization with only the first component of Sputnik V, that is, the Sputnik Light vaccine, is sufficient to protect the health of those who have been ill.
“The article published by experts from Argentina in the journal Cell Reports Medicine is another example of the positive data obtained during the use of the Sputnik V vaccine. The drug provides a high level of protection for both those who have not been sick with coronavirus and those who have suffered an infection. Sputnik V is one of the safest and most effective coronavirus vaccines in the world, as confirmed by by publishing a wide range of data from regulators and academic institutions in Latin America, Europe and the Middle East ".
