Apple TV + will feature exclusive Russian content

Apple has entered into an agreement with the production company AR Content by Alexander Rodnyansky (Dylda, Leviathan, Dislike). This is a first-look deal: that is, any film or series produced by the company will be watched by Apple, and only in case of refusal, it will be possible to look for another platform for the project.

Although the terms of the agreement give AR Content freedom in choosing the country of filming, language and authors, Rodnyansky noted in a conversation with Variety that Apple was attracted by his experience of working with Russian-language content. He added that this is the first time that a foreign streaming platform has entered into such a deal with a company with Russian roots.

In parallel with the new deal with Apple, Rodnyansky's company also continues to cooperate with Yandex: in 3 years AR Content is to release 7 TV series for Kinopoisk HD.
