Why do people like so much what tickles their nerves.
Almost any modern film or TV series with a dark, tense atmosphere fits the definition of "thriller". When we see an indication of this genre on movie sites, in online cinemas or on streaming services, we understand that they will most likely not be joking in the frame. And for many it will come as a surprise that the first thriller in the history of cinema was just a comedy! What we are talking about, you will find out in the latest issue.
In this podcast, presenters Alexei Khromov and Mikhail Volnyh try to define the concept of "thriller", recall the rise in popularity of the genre in the 1990s and how he almost killed horror movies. And at the same time they find out whether it is possible to shoot high-quality thrillers in Russia.
