Seven Layers Cheese and Bacon Salad

Traditional American salad "Seven Layers" with cheese, vegetables, crispy bacon and delicate sweet sauce will appeal to fans of unusual combinations.

Ingredients
- Eggs 4 pieces
- Fresh or frozen green peas 170 g
- Salt to taste
- Bacon 6 slices
- Iceberg salad ¾ head of cabbage
- Tomatoes 2 pieces
- Red onion 1 small head
- Cheddar 120 g
- Mayonnaise 200 g
- Sour cream 200 g
- Sugar 2 tbsp. spoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste

Boil eggs hard-boiled, cool, peel. Cut into large cubes or thin slices.
How and how much to cook hard boiled eggs
Boil the peas in boiling salted water for 2-3 minutes. Then fold in a colander and rinse with cold water.
Fry the bacon in a dry skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side until brown. Transfer to a paper towel, cool and break into small pieces.
Remove the top leaves from the lettuce, chop the iceberg coarsely. Cut the tomatoes into cubes or thin slices.

Chop the onion finely. Grate the cheese on a fine grater. Mix mayonnaise with sour cream and sugar.
Cheddar can be replaced with another hard cheese, and green onions can be used instead of red onions.
Place iceberg, tomatoes, peas, eggs and onions in the bottom of a deep bowl. Season each layer with a little salt and pepper.
Sprinkle the salad with cheese and pour over the sauce, smooth its surface with a spatula. Sprinkle bacon on salad before serving.
