Leica unveils its first Leitz Phone 1 smartphone with the largest photosensor

Signature design, flagship hardware and a screen with a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz.
After a long partnership with Huawei, Leica starts up own smartphone Leitz Phone 1. This is a branded version of the recently announced Sharp AQUOS R6 in Japan - they have identical characteristics, but different design of the back panel.
The Leitz Phone 1 on the back resembles the Leica Red Dot branded cameras with a red circle. A significant part of the back cover is occupied by a photomodule, which can be covered with a magnetic cover. Hidden inside is a huge 1-inch photo sensor - the largest of all smartphones. The size of the sensor directly affects the amount of light captured and the dynamic range, so you should expect impressive shots from such a camera.
The sensor resolution was 20 megapixels, the aperture was f / 1.9 with a focal length of 35 mm. The sensor is complemented by a 7-lens Leica optical system, a ToF sensor and an LED flash. The selfie module has a resolution of 12 megapixels.
The Leitz Phone 1 also received a slightly curved 6.6-inch Pro IGZO OLED screen with a resolution of 2730 × 1260 pixels, a peak brightness of 2000 nits and a refresh rate from 1 to 240 Hz. The Snapdragon 888 processor paired with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM is responsible for the performance of the novelty. Storage - 256 GB (UFS 3.1). The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh.
You can also highlight IP68 water protection, NFC, 5G modem, support for microSD memory cards and a Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the display. The Leica Leitz Phone 1 was priced at $ 1,700 (≈123,500 rubles). So far, the novelty will only be available in Japan.
